Faith Families
At Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, students have an exceptional and unique opportunity for spiritual formation and faith development as students are grouped into Faith Families across each grade level. Faith Families meet quarterly, are made up of about 15-20 students with every grade level and are under the direction of a catechist teacher. The Faith Families serve to teach, instill and cultivate lessons built around the virtues, and facilitate relationships that contribute toward the moral and social maturity of our students. The groups also work together to proactively build a culture and community where anti-bullying awareness is evident. Faith Family meetings are coupled with opportunities for faith development and fellowship, so that students can develop friendships that are committed to seeking a deeper faith together. Additionally, this program serves to develop leadership skills and competence in our middle school students as they work toward building a greater Christian culture.
